What I learned about the Fall season?

Summer is over and fall is upon us. Bright sunny skies with warm temperature , slowly changing to cloudy and cold. Winter wears are getting out of closet now. Instagram feed is getting filled with fall pictures. Pumpkin spice latte is back. I must confess that I love summer . Living in Seattle where we get such a short season, summer feels like a rare commodity. So its hard to accept that its over and  will have to wait for months to get those golden rays back. But then , this week while going to work , when i saw the beautiful nature around me, trees filled with colorful leaves, it definitely inspired me to take a deep dive into this new season.  It did not take much longer for me to realize the significance of fall season in our lives.

What fall teaches us ?

Change is the only constant:

First thing fall season shows us that change is inevitable. Nothing is permanent. A tree adorned with so many colorful leaves suddenly stands naked with the hope that, its beauty will return in future. Its the same thing with life. We should neither be overjoyed with our achievements nor get depressed with failure. Because time will change, people around us will change. All we have got is to accept the change and move forward. As the tree holds to its roots, we should hold on to our values, our beliefs as that's the only thing we have of our own and will eventually lead us in the right path. Nothing can detach us from that.

How to let go things:

To conserve energy for the hard winter season, trees shed their leaves. It makes space for the new leaves that will be back in spring. Until then it waits patiently. Letting go is always painful, but sometimes its needed for survival. There is no point in holding to negative feelings, grudges as it only brings us down. Instead we should let it go and make space for new beginnings.

Sit back and enjoy life:

Fall is the season of harvest, which brings the celebration and festivities with it. This reminds us to sit back and enjoy the fruit of our hard work. In this fast paced life, we are always on the run, chasing goals one after the other. Its a never ending race. So its very much needed that we take a pause sometimes and self analyze. Spend time with our loved ones and cherish the moments of happiness.

Hope for the bright future:

The last but the most important lesson with this season, is the ray of hope. Even if the tree is going to face the dry, harsh winter just after fall, it has the hope for spring which will bring a new beginning for it. If there is darkness now, the sun is going to rise. No matter how difficult the situation is we should not loose hope and wait for the new beginning.
